Gov. M. Jodi Rell will make a live, televised address to the state Monday night to warn citizens about impending cuts in the state budget.
Rell has asked the major television networks for time to speak during the 6 p.m. newscasts, and she expects to receive permission from them all.

Representative Terrie Wood was sworn in today as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing the 141st District which includes the towns of Darien and Norwalk. The swearing-in took place during the legislature’s Opening Day ceremonies which included remarks from Governor M. Jodi Rell.
